Jay Lux, Vice President of Talent Management, FCC Services presented on Strategic Succession Management in Cooperative Leadership at the recent NECC Leaders Forum. He cited several studies indicating concerns by companies in finding and developing the top talent that would lead their businesses successfully in the future.

Welcome to the Northeast Cooperative Council
The Council is a not-for-profit organization of agricultural and rural electric cooperatives, Farm Credit Associations, and their professional advisors doing business in New York, New England, and Pennsylvania. The Council was formed in 1949 as the New York State Council of Farmer Cooperatives. In 1991 the Council became the Northeast Cooperative Council to reflect its increasing service area.
The objectives today are similar to when the organization was formed.
- To assist members with advisory, educational, and research services to achieve business goals;
- Host the Annual Leaders Forum and biennial Future Cooperative Leaders Conference;
- Strengthen networks to enhance cooperative members’ success.
The Council is a member of the National Council of Farmer Cooperative, National Cooperative Business Association, and Empire State Council of Agricultural Organizations.
